16 Oct Think Big. Take Small Steps.
It’s a reality when a business anniversary ticks by and you didn’t even register. Just last week Wonderful Websites turned 15 years old. You would think that being a numbers person, and starting on the 10th day of the 10th month in the year 2010 would be enough for me to keep track. However, I was so busy doing day to day things that the big 15 year anniversary went unnoticed.
Not that there needs to be any fan fare, but it is a good opportunity to reflect, and also to be thankful. Am thankful for the wonderful clients that I have had the privilege to work with over the years. I am often a part of their journey which can be at a very vulnerable time. Perhaps it is a brand new business, or a full restructure and understand the importance of helping with good energy and not to burden when things can already be highly intense.
When I look back and reflect, I am proud at how much I have achieved over the years. But boy have I come a long way. Not always by choice, as this is a rapidly changing industry, but learning new things is something I am always open to. Whilst I will never claim to know everything, knowing where to find something or who to ask is important.
That brings me to the next part which is that I am also thankful to those who have worked alongside me. This includes designers, developers, photographers, video editors and IT support. And also working right by my side are those other supporters which are family and friends. You are all wonderful.
So here’s to more exciting times ahead, and thinking big but taking small steps.
