01 Sep Spring Into Spring & Give Your Website A Tidy Up
Today is the first day of Spring, so perfect timing to do a clean up. Head into the backend of your website and make sure everything is neat and tidy. This means updating* WordPress, updating your theme and updating plugins. And while you are there, perhaps assess if there are some plugins that you no longer even need installed on your site.
Not only does it feel good to update everything, it also helps with minimising the risk of your site being compromised or have issues.
Once that is all dealt with, don’t forget to then concentrate on the actual content of your website. Did you add information relevant to Covid-19 that can perhaps be removed now (yes, I am crossing my fingers that we can safely move on), or maybe you have products in your store that are not only Out of Stock, but they also will never be back in stock?
Once all your jobs are done, you now have permission to go an buy yourself some new shoes!
* Don’t forget to take a backup of your website before doing any updates. You may be better to consult a professional to do updates on your behalf as sometimes conflicts arise.
